Day Nineteen

This will be a complete shock..I slept A LOT today. Shocked? Didn't think so! ;) I love my sleep, it's nice to have no agenda on such a wonderful vacation and chance of a life time! I watched Tangled and fell asleep to that around 2 and didn't wake up until almost 5pm. It was a lazy day here in the Braidotti house. Ligia and Dani did make lunch because mom was out and about all day long, I did dishes (yes mom, I did dishes!) and we just had a relaxing day. Around 9pm Ligia's friends came over to get ready to go out for the night. One of Ligia's favorite club is John Bull, it is a hip hop club here in Curitiba (I may have said that in another post). It was an eventful night, starting at 9pm and not ending until around 4 in the morning. I went to bed around 4:30am and Ligia and her friends didn't go to bed until 6am. When we arrived to the club there was a long line that we all had to wait in. Luckily girls get in for free and there isn't that long of a wait because we can put our name on a list. Guys don't have that privilege! When all 4 of us walked in I felt like there was a run way and that we were in slow motion. Brazil is a place where you need to watch your back at all times when it comes to pretty women and men. They don't treat women with respect. We were on a run way and it all was in slow motion. It sounds cheesy but I am sure you all know what I am saying. That's as simple as I can put it! The music was awesome and the club was two floors, an under ground floor with a low ceiling and black lights and the first floor has tables, pool tables, bar and dance floor withe a stage where the DJs are. It's a little club but there were a lot of people there last night because of a holiday here in Brazil. When leaving the club and waiting for a taxi, we were walking out and saw nothing but blood. EVERYWHERE. Blood on the floor, on the benches, on the walls. It was just bloody, there was a girl laying on the floor with a woman over top of her trying to control her. Come to find out. She had to pay 50 for some reason, maybe for alcohol or for loosing the card that you have to have in order to leave. Well she wasn't too happy about that and she broke through the glass window and cut her arms and head up really bad. NO ONE was hurt. I did not witness it actually happening but when walking out she was still laying there and police were there to help clean her up and take photos of what happened. I was just glad no one was hurt other than this girl who obviously had absolutely no self control at this time. Soon after seeing all of this we said good bye to some friends and got in a taxi to safely make it back home. It was an awesome night with a lot to do and see. More to post soon!
