Day One

Blogging from an iPod!I couldn't write everything down on paper last night (got home too late). Anyways, I'M IN BRAZIL! It's great to be here! If you have seen my Facebook page you have probably came across the Picture that I posted of our front porch. IT'S A WHOLE NEW WORLD! How yesterday went was that we were about to land in Sao Paulo and I was nervous about baggage and customs. The first person I turn around to is here for her first time! We became pals and exchanged email and phone numbers, her names Marcelle and she's here for fun too! God was watching out for me because shortly after meeting her my phone wasn't working and I couldn't get in touch with Ligia to tell her that we have landed. Without God providing me her in my time of need I would have been alone and lost. Our God PROVIDES!! When getting out of the plane we found all of our bags and made it through customs just fine!! I called Ligia from Marcelles phone and met with her in a different terminal at the wrong flight gate! But I found her and ran up behind her and gave her the BIGGEST hug!! I MISSED HER SO MUCH!! I gave Dani a big hug and I met their sister in law Carol!! We went to Carols house and I told everyone that I am here :). IT IS AMAZING HERE!! We went to lunch at Bella Paulista and I drank Guarana :) not alcohol just a soda! A famous soda here in Brazil!! We went to different salons to check out for when Carol and Gabi get married in TWO WEEKS! I will be their photographer! I am really excited! I love them both! Last night was ladies night..I learned a lot in one night. Kids doing crack on the streets and prostitutes in bars. Their are many lost souls here..they need JESUS! We came home and I was so tired!!! I need to keep up with this blog so that I don't forget anything!!! I am so happy here! God is good and I am excited for many many more days to come! xoxo Rachel
